What is Capes for Kids?
Capes for Kids is a fun, family friendly event where we encourage everyone to wear their cape and raise money to support Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.
Register online, set a fundraising goal and decide what your action will be (i.e. if I raise $500, I will wear my cape out to dinner) and then start fundraising. Plus, during the first week of March, wear your cape and share your photo using the hashtag #capesforkids.
Where do I get my cape?
You can make a cape from anything! A bed sheet, a blanket, even a towel. Check out how celebs styled their capes here!
OR you can earn a cape from Holland Bloorview. A limited number of branded capes are available to the first fundraisers when they raise their first $100 (or their first $50, for kids and youth). The Capes for Kids team reaches out every couple of days to fundraisers who have earned their cape!
Where can I wear my cape?
Wherever you want! To the mall, the movies, dinner with your family, lunch with colleagues, a meeting with your boss! The more places you commit to wearing your cape, the more your friends and family will support your fundraising efforts. Check our Partnerships page to find special events and opportunities for discounts and promotions for those wearing their capes.
Can I participate by myself or with a team?
Either way is great! Registration for Holland Bloorview’s Capes for Kids is for both individuals and teams to participate. Check out our fundraising toolkit that will help you fundraise, whether solo or with teammates.
